Smart Classroom Project Gets Boost Through New Pledges And Donations

S. Thomas’ College’s Smart Classroom initiative, currently being a beneficiary project of Walk A Mile, received a major boost over the last couple of weeks when a number of new pledges were made and also a number of donations came through from Class Groups, Old Boys and Corporates.

Two foreign chapters – The Thomian Association of California and STCML Old Boys Chapter Perth – have come forward with new pledges for the Smart Classroom project and we are grateful for the support from the global old boy fraternity.

In addition, the Class of 94, Class of 95, Class of 81, Class of 92, the Old Boys of Washington DC, and Mohomed Thowfeek (an Old Boy from Texas) have all made good on their pledges with some of the class groups aiming to raise even more.

Funds raised for the Smart Classroom project aims to enhance the provision of education through the use of technology and upgrade the facilities for the students and teachers.

The organizing committee is grateful for the pledges and donations made with the total raised total pledged and donated amounting to over Rs 20,400,000 for 51 Smart Classrooms.
